Bill Vermeulen – Principal and Chief Landscaper
Bill Vermeulen’s passion for landscape began
as child working with his parents in the yard and
planting a seasonal garden at the family home. He
moved west to California and made the decision that
would be his life passion. He was accepted to Pierce
College in Woodland Hills California and received
his Bachelors of Science Degree in Ornamental Horticulture
and Business Administration. He is also been awarded
certification by California Landscape Contractors
Association (CLCA) as Landscape and Irrigation Technician.
As a Co-President of the Ventera chapter of the
CLCA, he has won numorous Beautification Awards
over the years for Best High-End Residential Landscape,
Best Commercial Landscape and Sustainable Landscape.
This foundation of extensive education backed by years of on the ground experience makes him an extremely qualified leader. Bill is notoriouslythe first one on the job and the last one to leave – never leaving a stone uncovered. His commitment to his team and clients is unmatched in the industry.
Bill lives in Seal Beach and enjoys working outdoors, fishing, BBQ, good beer and traveling with his family. |

Robert McMahon – Landscape Architect
Bob McMahon's twenty year professional experience extends from California to Southeast Asia with a strong emphasis on high-end residential and resort planning and development. Mr. McMahon has had the opportunity to work on a variety of project types covering conceptual designs, construction administration and observation developing a strong multi-disciplined background.
Bob has been a practicing licensed architect for over 20 years and is licensed to practice landscape architecture in the states of California, Nevada and Utah. |

David
C. – ISA Certified Arborist
David has over 15 years of experience in tree care and
specializes in west coast tree species. He has been
an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified
arborist since 2004 and continues his education through
ISA. David got his start in Arboriculture with Arborwest
Services were he grew from estimator to field crew chief.
His duties included countless hours developing site surveys,
tree tagging and identification, tree nutrition, soil/water
management, comprehensive estimates as well as providing
project management and customer service. David has
worked closely with Sunrise Landscape for over 10 years
and continues to provide important guidance on all tree
related matters.
Maximino Tirzo - Landscape Crew Chief
Maximino has worked with Sunrise Landscape and
Design since 1995 and has been doing landscape construction
for over 18 years. As Crew Leader, his responsibility
is to manage the landscape staff and maintenance crews
on a daily bases. His fine English skills and depth
of knowledge are a big asset to Sunrise and we are proud
of his work and expertise. |
